Up and running
in minutes.
Follow these six steps to go from unboxing your RELO IO8 to a live, deployed automation flow.
Unbox and inspect
Your RELO IO8 ships with the device, a USB-C PSU, a PoE+ patch cable, and a quick-start card. Inspect the unit for any transit damage before installation. The serial number is printed on the underside label. You will need this to register the device.
Connect to your network
Plug the included patch cable into a PoE+ capable switch port (802.3at, Class 4). The RELO IO8 draws up to 25W. A green LED on the front panel will light within 30 seconds once it has acquired a DHCP address.
Download Cueva Desktop
Download the Cueva Desktop app for Mac or Windows from the Downloads page. Install and launch it. The app will automatically discover any Cueva Control devices on the same subnet via mDNS.
Register your device
Click your device in the sidebar and select Register. Enter your device serial number and your Cueva Control account credentials. This links the device to your account and activates the license included with the unit.
Build your first flow
Open the Flow Editor from the sidebar. Drag a GPIO Input trigger onto the canvas and connect it to a Relay On action. Click Deploy. The flow is compiled and pushed to your device over the network instantly.
Test and go live
Press the physical input connected to GPIO 1. The relay output should close and you'll see the event logged in the Activity panel. Your installation is live. From here you can add logic, HTTP calls, and additional nodes to build out the full automation.
