Cueva Desktop Overview

An overview of the Cueva Desktop application: what it does, supported platforms, and what you can configure and build with it.

Cueva Desktop is the native Mac and Windows application for the Cueva Control platform. It is the primary tool for configuring RELO IO8 devices, building and deploying automation flows, managing firmware, and monitoring your installation in real time. It runs entirely on your local network. No cloud account is required to use the application or to deploy flows to devices.

  • Configure device settings: network, relay defaults, input polarity, serial port, and more
  • Build automation flows using the visual node-based flow editor
  • Deploy flows to devices over the local network
  • Monitor flow execution and device state in real time

Getting Cueva Desktop

Cueva Desktop is free to download and use. Visit the Downloads page to get the latest version for your platform. No activation or account is required for local device management. A Cueva Horizon account is required only if you want to use remote access or cloud fleet management features.

Cueva Desktop checks for updates automatically on launch. You can also check manually in Help → Check for Updates. Keeping the application up to date ensures you have the latest flow nodes, device compatibility fixes, and performance improvements.

The flow editor

The flow editor is a node-based visual canvas where you connect trigger, condition, and action nodes to build automation logic. Flows are stored locally in Cueva Desktop and deployed to devices on demand. Multiple flows can run concurrently on a single device. The editor includes a real-time activity panel that shows which nodes are executing live on the connected device.
