Cueva Horizon is the optional cloud platform for the Cueva Control ecosystem. It provides secure remote access to your RELO IO8 devices from anywhere in the world, over-the-air firmware updates, centralised activity logging, and fleet-level management across all your installations. Horizon is billed per device per year and is entirely optional. Devices operate locally without any Horizon subscription.
What Horizon provides
- Remote access: control relays, read input states, and deploy flow updates from the Horizon dashboard without a VPN
- OTA firmware updates: push firmware to individual devices or entire fleets with a single click
- Activity logs: every trigger, action, and error logged to the cloud with timestamp and device context
- Fleet management: organise devices by site, location, and owner with role-based access control
- Alerts: receive email or webhook notifications when a device goes offline, a relay state changes, or an error occurs
- Audit trail: a complete history of who changed what and when across all devices in your organisation

Cueva Horizon is hosted in the European Union and is fully GDPR compliant. All remote access traffic is end-to-end encrypted using TLS 1.3. No device credentials or flow content are stored on Horizon servers.
How remote access works
When a device is registered with Horizon, it opens a persistent outbound WebSocket connection to the Horizon relay service. Remote commands from the dashboard are routed through this relay tunnel to the device. Because the connection is outbound, no inbound firewall rules or port forwarding are required on the installation network. The device initiates and maintains the connection automatically.
